The New Deal, introduced by President Franklin D. Roosevelt during the Great Depression, aimed to provide relief, recovery, and reform. Major accomplishments include the establishment of social security, which provided financial support for the elderly and unemployed; the creation of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), offering jobs in environmental conservation; and the Agricultural Adjustment Administration (AAA), which aimed to raise crop prices by reducing production. Additionally, the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) was established to regulate the stock market and protect investors.
