A recent scientific discovery that proved the existence of dark matter is the detection of the gravitational effects on visible matter. Observations conducted by various astronomical studies, including those involving the Cosmic Microwave Background and galaxy cluster dynamics, provide strong evidence for dark matter's presence in the universe. Specifically, the Bullet Cluster, which consists of two colliding galaxy clusters, showed discrepancies between its visible matter and the overall gravitational mass, indicating dark matter's unseen influence. While dark matter has yet to be directly detected, these findings support the notion that it constitutes approximately 27% of the universe.
