The name of Shakespeare's theater is The Globe Theatre. Built in 1599 by the playing company known as the Lord Chamberlain's Men, of which Shakespeare was a member, The Globe was located on the south bank of the River Thames in London. This iconic theater was the venue for many of Shakespeare's plays, contributing significantly to his popularity and the development of English drama. The Globe was a circular structure with an open roof, allowing light to illuminate the performances. It was rebuilt in 1614 after a fire and continued to operate until its closure in 1642. A modern reconstruction, also named The Globe, stands near the original site today.
