The largest type of frog is the Goliath frog (Goliathus goliath), which can be found in the rainforests of Central Africa, particularly in Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. This impressive amphibian can grow up to 32 centimeters (about 12.6 inches) in length and weigh over 3 kilograms (approximately 6.6 pounds). Goliath frogs are known for their striking size, strong hind legs, and distinct coloration, which helps them blend into their environment. They are primarily aquatic and spend much of their time near water bodies. Their diet consists mainly of insects, but they have been observed eating smaller mammals and birds as well.
