The eligibility criteria for OBC candidates in the UPSC exam include a minimum age limit of 21 years and a maximum age limit of 35 years on 1st August of the examination year. OBC candidates must hold a recognized degree, equivalent to a Bachelor's, from a university or institution meeting UPSC’s standards. They are also required to provide a valid OBC certificate which must comply with the central government guidelines. Moreover, OBC candidates can avail of a relaxation in the number of attempts when compared to the General category, allowing them more opportunities to clear the exam.
